2017 Art

The Moon

The moon has had a powerful relationship to humanity since we were taking shelter in caves. This massive LED moon changes once a day, growing fuller and then contracting marking the passage of time. The face is from Le Voyage Dans la Lun (A Trip to the Moon) by Georges Méliès, made in 1902. The film was both a milestone for moving film, and a celebration of humanity daring to venture out into the unknown.

Room A camp and neighborhood favorite! Films screened nightly against the 12 x 16 screen unfurled on the side of Penske Palisades. BBW welcomes all to walk, bike and drive in and snuggle up in the movie room for a selection of classics, thrillers and Planet Earth 2.
